Canada’s Best Washroom in 2015

Can you tell how a company feels about its customers just from walking into their washroom?  We think that an organization’s commitment to customer service is apparent from how it facilitates and maintains it’s public restrooms.  Cintas feels the same, and has been running a Best Restroom Award contest to find and recognize the best public bathrooms in Canada since 2010.

A duty-free shop on the Canada-US border in Ontario called 1000 Islands Duty Free was given the award last year for their high-end, well-maintained washroom.  Combining classic elegance with modern design sense, the winning washrooms feature bowl-style sinks, shined granite counters, and private room-style toilet stalls.  As most public restrooms employ standard metal dividers riddled with gaps, the difference in quality is readily apparent.

This will be the contest’s sixth year here in Canada, and we anticipate finalists to be announced sometime in the summer.  As we wait, we at the Gentlemen Plumbers can’t help by hope that a local washroom here in Medicine Hat will take the crown.
